2025/2026 Season

The cost of each full day of rehearsals, followed by a play through, with break time refreshments, is £30 for Symphonic Play Days (unless otherwise stated) and £12.50 for Chamber Afternoons.

Symphonic Play Days (usually run 10:00 - 17:30 unless otherwise indicated)

Sunday 28 September 2025 - Rachmaninov, Symphonic Dances (12:30 - 19:00 - Harpenden Trust Halls)

Sunday 30 November 2025 - Rimsky Korsakov, Scheherezade (13:00 - 19:00 - Harpenden Trust Halls) Flute and Clarinet Seats are Currently Full, so additional sign ups will be reserves.

 

Sunday 18 January 2026 - Tchaikovsky, Symphony No. 6 'Pathétique (Park Hall) Flute and Clarinet Seats are Currently Full, so additional sign ups will be reserves.

 

Sunday 1 March 2026 - Dvorak, Symphony No. 8 (Park Hall) Flute and Clarinet Seats are Currently Full, so additional sign ups will be reserves.

 

Sunday 19 April 2026 - Shostakovich, Symphony No. 8 (Park Hall) Flute and Clarinet Seats are Currently Full, so additional sign ups will be reserves.

 

TBC in June 2026 - CONCERT (Beethoven, Coriolan Overture, Tchaikovsky, Violin Concerto, Prokofiev, Romeo and Juliet Suites)* Flute and Clarinet Seats are Currently Full, so additional sign ups will be reserves.

*If a concert is not possible, we shall create a weekend play day in June 2026.

N.B. Some wind seats are very popular, so when oversubscribed, we aim to rotate the seats and players and have a reserve list to ensure people get a chance to take part. We will endeavour to ask for preferences, where possible, and appreciate your patience and understanding. The orchestra aims to confirm the seats in advance of each play day and not at the start of the season and we can usually accommodate last minute changes.
